Environmental Policy

Expedo Ship Management (Canada) Ltd. (ESM) recognises the environmental impact of sea transport of oil and is fully committed to protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution whether locally or globally and the health and safety of its employees. This is to be accomplished through not only by complying with relevant national and international environmental legislation and regulations, but also through implementing industry guides and codes of practice as a minimum level of performance.

All company personnel, onboard ships and in ESM office, shall work in an environmental friendly manner and aim for the continual improvement of company environmental performance and pollution prevention at all times and in all circumstances.

Company objectives and targets shall aim for the reduction of identified environmental impacts of its activities to air, sea and land where possible and applicable.

The Company recognises the importance of incorporating environmental issues into its every day business decisions and activities, and new technology and management practices which when addressed, if reasonably practical, will enhance its environmental performance.

Expedo Ship Management (Canada) Ltd recognises the environmental considerations of all interested parties and is committed to take action with regards to their reasonable expectations.

Environmental targets for current year

- Reduce oily water discharge into the sea via oily water separator from machinery space by 2% in comparison with previous year. (Shipboard)

- Reduce main engine daily fuel consumption by 6% of 42 metric tons on basis of ship speed 14.5 kts and wind force at Beaufort scale 4. (Shipboard)

- Reduce paper consumption by 2.0% of previous year' level. (Office)

- Reduce plastic consumption by 2.0% of previous year' level. (Shipboard)
